IN CAMPING - AS IN LIFE – IT’S THE LITTLE THINGS

I still remember the Christmas that my brother, 8 years old, got his first sleeping bag and pup tent. In the middle of the night when our Dad went to his bedroom to check on him his bed was empty, the window was slightly ajar and there was an extension cord leading to the backyard. There was my brother, warmly ensconced in his electric blanket inside his sleeping bag inside his tent.

Being comfortably warm (or cool) may not qualify as a “little thing” but this family lore always reminds me that whenever I think I have thought of everything – well, probably not. So in our family travel lists are essential. Here, then, for your consideration is a list of things that you probably have at home, but may not have remembered to pack.
